Pokemon Go has been released and thousands of players around the world are already enjoying it. Being the newest hype in the world of fun and game, Pokemon Go gives players a whole lot new gaming experience by traveling between the real and the virtual world with their Android and iPhone devices. Here’s a little run-down about the newest game craze you would like to know.
Pokemon Go was released in for Android ad iOS devices in July 2016. Developed by Niantic, it is a free-to-play mobile game which uses the real-world locations where gamers can explore their surroundings in order to battle, train and even capture Pokemon creatures. The game basically uses phone camera and GPS for the game while in-app purchases are available for any additional gameplay items users can use. The game also introduces PokeStops which are interesting real-world locations where you can find many of these creatures or collect important items. PokeStops are real-world locations such as monuments, historical markers and public art installations.
Unfortunately, Pokemon Go does not do a whole lot to teach you aside from its basics and mechanics. So, we have compiled some important tips and guides as we hope to help you enjoy your Pokemon Go experience. The gameplay starts by the player creating his own avatar. Basically, it is the user’s graphical presentation of character in the virtual game that users can customize from eye color to outfits. Once the avatar has been created, the smartphone will use the player’s current location and shows the map of his surroundings. The map mainly features Pokemon gyms, and PokeStops which are filled with items known as lures which attract wild Pokemon creatures. As the user moves, their avatar will also move in the game map and players can take screen shots of any Pokemon they encounter. In order to catch the Pokemon creature, the player can simply tap it and initiate the capture.
To increase the chances of appearing Pokemon creatures while walking, users can use items or install a lure module on a PokeStop. This will temporarily lure the creature on that specific PokeStop for the player and others. The types of Pokemen that players catch will highly depend on the region. When players are looking for a specific type of Pokemon creature in their area, there is a Pokemon icon right the bottom area of the map. It will show up to nine creatures and their respective distance from the player’s location.
Once players catch a Pokemon creature, they can evolve them. Once a creature is caught, the player will have one hundred stardust and three candies which are important items for the Pokemon’s evolutionary change. Such items are often required in order to make their creatures stronger, increase experience and eventually evolve. By evolving the Pokemon creature, its combat power is increased. The higher the combat power or CP of the creature the stronger the Pokemon becomes. However, stardust and candies are not the only requirements to make their creatures stronger; the player should also increase his level in order to push his creature’s power scale.
